I’ve been with way more women than a lot of other straight guys.”
Young Thug dropped his highly anticipated project “UY SCUTI.”
The project is Thug’s first full-length body of work since his release from jail in late 2024, marking a major comeback moment for the Atlanta rap star.
Young Thug addresses rumors surrounding his sexuality.
During a recent interview, Thug makes it clear that he don’t have no problem with gay men, however, he’s straight.
A few days later he posted "AI jail calls is crazy," with a laughing emoji.
Now, three months later, Mariah The Scientist was just one of the guests at the "Hometown Hero" concert, and as she finished a song, Young Thug walked up behind her with ring in hand.

Rapper Young Thug Facing Backlash After Claiming Gay Men Who Hide Sexuality ‘Break Man Code’
Rapper Young Thug has sparked controversy after saying he doesn’t trust gay men who aren’t immediately open about their sexuality.
Appearing on the Perspektives with Bank podcast, he compared coming out after first presenting as straight to “ratting” someone out to police.
“Once you rat, or once you turn gay – I don’t have nothing against gay people, there are gay people who work for me – but when I look at you a certain way… if I meet you and you’re gay, it’s OK,” he said.
“But if I meet you and you’re portraying that you’re a man and you’re not gay, if I look at you like a man, and we fing bs together and doing certain s*, and I look at you in a man light, then I find out you gay, there ain’t really nothing you can say to me… I don’t look at you the same.”
‘Broke the Man Code’
Young Thug went on to accuse closeted gay men of violating what he described as the “man code.”
This is not the first time the Atlanta rapper has made comments about LGBTQ+ people.
- In 2020, he misgendered NBA star Dwyane Wade’s trans daughter in a now-deleted tweet, writing: “God don’t make mistakes.”
- In 2019, he criticised Lil Nas X after he came out as gay.
- That same year, he told LA’s Big Boy’s Neighborhood that he couldn’t possibly be gay because of his sexual history:
“People judge me, and people say, ‘gay,’ but na at one point, I probably had more hs than anyone… I’m the straightest man in the world.“People judge me and say ‘gay,’” he explained. I just pass it to them."
This was not the first time the rapper spoke about rumors surrounding his sexuality.
But the artist had a surprise up his sleeve.
Partway through the Atlanta local's "Hometown Hero" performance, he was joined by girlfriend Mariah the Scientist on stage before dropping down to one knee.
"Will you marry me?" flashed brightly on the screen behind him and cheers erupted from the crowd, videos show.
"Guess I'm getting married," Mariah the Scientist says into the microphone.
The couple, whose real names are Jeffery Williams and Mariah Buckles, have had a public on-and-off relationship since 2021.
The "Hometown Hero" show, labeled a benefit concert, was put on to feature the Grammy-award winning rapper's fourth solo album, UY Scuti, released earlier this year.
Relationship rattled by leaked jail calls
In May 2022, Young Thug and 27 others were arrested in Georgia and accused of violating the Racketeer Influences and Corrupt Organizations Act, or a RICO case.
A 56-count indictment brought by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis accused Williams of being the leader of Young Stoner Life, a group with a history of violent street crime and other offenses.
Young Thug eventually pled guilty in 2024, and was sentenced to time served and probation.
U showed me what love is and I hope I haven’t lost u forever…" he said in the post.
In a second post, Williams said "chapter ended" with a heart emoji. “I’m straight women.
Overly," he explained. “If people think that I’m gay, they’ve already misjudged. I'm the straightest man in the world. I'm not even having a threesome with no n####," he has said in the past.
The new dialogue arrives at a critical juncture in Young Thug's career. Ain't nothing going down with no man," he said when asked about the persistent rumors.
He then made clear his position regarding others, commenting, "I don't have no problem with the [gay] community."

The 34-year-old, who once dressed in painted nails and dresses, conceded that pressure from outside had forced him to tone down his style.
"I had to dumb down," he explained, citing what he labeled as the world's failure to "catch on" to his creativity.
When questioned if this change was one of acceptance, he didn't waste a second agreeing.
