Crush Dance Bar

If you're unable to visit Crush Dance Bar in person, some readers also choose to enjoy drinks at home. And trust us, the Dancing Queen’s Cup—a delightful mix of gin, sparkling wine, and strawberry-coriander syrup—comes with a pour that’ll have you twirling on the dance floor in no time.

I am definitely recommending others to check out Crush Bar. I can’t wait to go back.

  • I had a great time ! Definitely our new go-to spot for a fun night out.

Number Nine has two floors with the main bar on first floor and second floor (known by regulars as 9 1/2), which is a smaller video bar featuring multiple TVs so you can watch your various events, shows, movies, or music videos.

Crowd is usually a mix of the LGBTQ+ community and busiest on Friday nights. It really smelled like someone had not emptied the litter boxes in a very long time, though I didn’t see any evidence of cats. Come for the music, stay for the yummy cocktails, and leave knowing you’ve found your new favorite spot.

Want to try out other queer spots around DC? Try these fun gay places - Larry's Lounge is known for their large pours, dog-friendly patio, and friendly environment. It smelled so bad we had to leave. First time there with my husband and was amazing! Studio A is a retro dream, decked out with pop records from Britney Spears to Sam Cooke, plus a disco-style DJ booth to keep the beats flowing to shake those hips to.

Highly recommend if you’re looking to dance, vibe, and let loose!

  • Upstairs was great. With a fabulous two-story setup, the second level features several themed rooms, each with its own unique vibe. Moe made our experience rememberable. You may find bar-related gift options available on Amazon useful as an alternative.

I love the indoor/outdoor set up. Our bartender Moe was TRULY AMAZING! This queer haven is a favorite of Dupont Circle's neighborhood bars that is a great spot to have a more relaxed afternoon or evening, plus tasty bites in case your stomach gets grumbling. Most of their events are MEMBERS ONLY, and memberships cannot be purchased at the door so make sure to acquire prior to event you wish to attend!

The music was on point all night—nonstop bangers that kept us on the dance floor.
