Gay St Petersburg

St Petersburg is a growing hub of culture and art in Florida, boasting nine world-class art galleries, countless performance spaces and the recently developed Warehouse Arts District. You get beaches nearby, walkable neighborhoods, and plenty of spots where you won’t feel like the odd one out.

While there is no “gay ghetto” there are many neighborhoods that are gay and lesbian friendly. St. Petersburg’s diverse economy and increasing job opportunities all beckon for potential residents to take a closer look.  In 2006 St. Petesrburg was named one of the “50 Fabulous Gay Friendly Places to Live” by Gregory Kompes.

One of the most beautiful aspects of the St.

Petersburg area is the diversity of the neighborhoods. While some might call it a social club, it’s really just your neighborhood bar.

For venues, start with Enigma for drag, DJs, themed nights, and sidewalk seating. Serving brunch, lunch and late night drinks, the Salty Nun is a great place to grab a bite, have a drink, watch a game, or just hang out with the girls.
