it’s a little small but there’s two floors so don’t worry about that! Unpretentious, fun, and always a good time—Tradeis DC’s ultimate queer neighborhood bar. We went during Happy Hour on a Wednesday and it was not crowded at all. Love this place!

    No more. the community here is tight-knit, strong, but WELCOMING. With the migration of gay bars moving from Adams Morgan to Shaw and U Street, the ladies have been lost in the shuffle. Friendly, flirty, and totally diverse.


    Green Lantern – Best for Shirtless Thursdays (& More). It’s not for the faint of heart: lights go off, clothes check is free, and anything can happen.

    Number Nine is a two story, indoor-outdoor, lounge and video bar in the heart of Logan Circle.

    The front bar is the best place to strike up a conversation, and the crowd? Drinks were good, but I never tasted any alcohol. This used to be a hotspot with drink specials and a great happy hour. Around the corner from Number Nine, this laid-back hotspot serves famously strong drinks, has drag shows and theme nights, and boasts a large back patio with a smoking area.

    Weekends get wild, and there’s almost always a line by 11 PM—so come early.

    This two-level bar serves up neighborhood vibes downstairs and wild party nights upstairs. I feel like it’s become a tax write off. No music. The new owner has chosen to kill any sort of ambiance in the place as the lights downstairs are always turned way up and the bartender plays free internet radio with commercials and all. And you can redeem your receipt for your free drink until 8pm.
    This is good for any drink...from our signature mojitos to martinis to beer to wine...everything.
