While historically the tournament has always been held in early April, the 2025 event is slated for the end of the month, from April 24-26. Nearly 2,000 attendees are expected at this glamorous, inclusive spectacle. The club offers an elegant backdrop not only for the tournament on Saturday, but the parties that precede it.

LGBTQ+ polo players from around the world will compete on Patagones’ field, while spectators will be treated to the annual tailgate competition, with a wealth of inventive installations, live entertainment, delicious food and decadent cocktails.

In addition to promoting diversity and inclusivity in the sport, the GPL has also raised more than $357,800 since 2018 in support of LGBTQ charitable organizations.

Kicking off with a private reception on April 24, festivities continue on April 25 with Wigstock, a high-energy costume party headlined by DJ Citizen Jane. party will give revelers the opportunity to dress up in their ensembles and outré wigs.

While the action on and off the field promises to be fast and furious, the Gay Polo League is a 501(c)3 charitable organization.

We’re a community that shares a love for adventure, fun, and the beautiful, challenging sport of polo.

The Gay Polo League (GPL) is the only LGBTQ polo league in the world! 

GPL is committed to providing its members with unique, supportive and competitive experiences around the globe.

Hosted at the Patagones Polo Club in Wellington, Florida, the event celebrates the Gay Polo League’s 15th anniversary. On April 26, six LGBTQ teams from around the world compete in high-stakes polo matches, beginning at 1 PM. Spectators can enjoy vibrant tailgates, live shows by the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida, the South Florida Pride Concert Band, and the international “Flags of Nations” procession.
