Although, if you’re wanting to make a last-minute trip (whether in summer or any time of year), it’s well-worth checking out the Provincetown Business Guild “Last Minute Availability” page, which lists dozens of LGBTQIA-popular properties that still have rooms available on short notice.
The town hosts a spirited 4th of July Parade, and then in mid-July, Provincetown Bear Weekruns for an entire week and includes nightly block parties after the bars close at beloved Spiritus Pizza, daily pool parties and tea dances at a slew of fun places (the Boatslip, Crown & Anchor, and more), Herring Cove Beach outings, a Bear Market Vendor Fair, and a variety of other gatherings.
Its location is especially convenient to Provincetown’s gallery district, and as such, it features a large collection of art and design items throughout the property.
As a popular LGBTQ property, the Stowaway Guesthouse also hosts occasional special LGBTQ events. Trans Week (October 19–26)

Frolic Weekend (June 18–23)
Celebrate Frolic Weekend, the annual event bringing together over 1,000 men of color during Juneteenth weekend. The complex, located directly on Commercial Street, has seven different gay bars and club spaces on its premises, including a hotel and pool!
Some of the biggest names in entertainment show up here each season for different variety shows and performances.
It’s perfect for getting into the holiday spirit with a fun Provincetown twist.

24. Labor Day Weekend White Party (August 30)
Say goodbye to summer at the White Party, a cherished tradition since 1986, began as a casual summer gathering and evolved into a fundraiser benefiting Outer Cape Health Services, raising over $700,000 to date.
Tennessee Williams Theater Festival (September 24–28)
The Tennessee Williams Theatre Festival celebrates its 20th year with classics like “Sweet Bird of Youth” and a hint of Tennessee Williams’ sci-fi side.

This week-long extravaganza invites attendees to relive cherished camp memories and indulge in playful nostalgia. Spooky Bear Halloween Weekend (October 30–November 2)
Costumes? Each offers great seafood dishes at decent rates.

Just on the tip of Cape Cod, Provincetown has a long history as an LGBTQ-inclusive destination.
That’s because the town is a hotspot all summer long for cultural events and activities. Ghost tours? There aren’t many big hotel properties so accommodation can be a challenge to find during popular themed weeks and festivals.
The real charm of Provincetown is in the small-town life with the big-city attractions, and that comes across through the boutique hotel options available.
The party takes place every day from 4pm to 7pm.
It’s worth the entrance price for the party because the music is great, the drinks are strong, and the people are friendly. Expect elaborate costumes, show-stopping float parades, and dance parties into the early hours.
